Kyle told me to write. He knows me well enough to know that my best coping strategy is writing everything down. So here it goes.
I never expected my senior year to go this way. I never thought I'd be so in over my head that getting an 85% on my first pre-calc quiz would push me to the breaking point. I had no idea that flagsquad would become my most dreaded period. Out of all people, I never thought I would be the person rushing to get all of my last night's homework done in 1st period study hall. Nor did I think I would be struggling to stay awake while doing so. I never thought that scheduling college visits would become a burden because of the sessions I have to cancel and reschedule. I'm always so on top of things. How did this happen? I'm always so eager. How did bedtime become my favorite part of the day?
Sometimes, I wish I could go back to the days when mom saying, "it's bedtime" was my biggest dilemma.
So, for right now, I'm living for the day that I will look back at this post and laugh at my melodramatic self.
Things will get better. I just know it.
Smiles and lots of love, Taylor

Taylor my Taylor,
Senior year is, BY FAR, not what we had always been dreaming of, hoping for, or looking forward to. Senior year quickly turned into hitting the snooze button as many times as possible. Senior year has become the dragging of our feet to get from one class to another. Senior year has turned into counting down the seconds until flagsquad is over and we can race home just to get away from there. However I can say that you, Taylor Elchert, make flagsquad and school and football games worth going to! I get to look forward to spending time talking with my WONDERFUL best friend (you missy) about our boyfriends...good and bad;) ,talking about our brothers and sisters and the funny things said at dinner the previous night, talking about the fun days, shooting our problems into clouds, and taking really funny pictures that say loud and clear that you are my best friend! I LOVE YOU TAYLOR ELCHERT! You are sweet and funny and talented and caring (the biggest heart of anyone I've ever met!) and adorable! AND YOU MAKE IT WORTH IT!

Sammi, my Sammi<3 With tears in my eyes, I contacted you as soon as I read this. After talking with you, I still have tears in my eyes now. God may be dealing us a difficult hand, but that's why He blessed us with amazing people in our lives. There's always a light at the end of the tunnel, a rainbow after the storm, and sunshine when the clouds part. I am so very blessed to be able to say that my best friend is my light, my rainbow, and my sunshine. I LOVE YOU SAMMI ROU! And I absolutely cannot wait to go on our shopping trip Saturday;)<3
P.S.- You can expect a big huge giant hug tomorrow from yours truly!

Taylor and Sammi,
Life gives senior year to remind you that all things, good and bad eventually come to an end. Life gives you bad leadership to show you that it's not always fair, and it's not always right, but YOU can - and do - lead better by your examples than the so called 'people in charge'. Life gives you storms to show you who your true friends are - the ones who see you struggle and come beside you to support you through the storm. So find something to laugh about EVERY day. Find a way to make all the good memories last, and let the bad ones float away. A nap after school is a good idea - a very good idea. ;) May your days be happier, and your burdens feel lighter because you're both simply amazing.

I know you are going through a rough time with flagsquad, and you are stressed with the amount of photoshoots you have, and on top of that school work, doing chores for Mr anway, and getting pictures of every sports event. In the end you will look back and not remember the bad stuff because its the good stuff that stands out, like good always beats evil and superman always beats the bad guys. I do my best to help you keep your head up and I know I don't do the greatest job but I try! It hurts me to see you like this and I know it will vet better everything has its ups and downs and you just have to keep picking yourself up and showing life who's boss! I hope everything gets better! :)
-smiles and lots of love, Kyle
P.S.- will you Taylor Elchert take me Kyle Wertz to be your homecoming date? :P sorry if its to cheesy

With all you have going on, if you need to take a little extra time to get our photos ready it's fine. I'll completely understand!

You better invite me to go shopping with you this Saturday...It's my last day at home ya know.

Oh no...I just gave you another thing to be sad about!

On the bright side, I am leaving A TON of my clothes home. And I will visit you lots. Oberlin is going to drive me crazy this year with my job and shadowing a Dr. on top of all the demands of college life. I will NEED to come home for sissy time (and bloggy time).

Love love love and HUGS!

Taylor, hope everything gets better, you're truly an amazing young woman, wish I could help you in some way. Too bad I didn't know all the editing techniques or I would help you out. Lol, take care.
