Like apple cheerios, hugs, and slobbery kisses.
And adoring every moment of her sweet voice saying, "I love you, Teeler".
And hearing her little feet stomp around the house as she's chasing my dogs.
And watching her fly fearlessly down the big slide.
...
And now I'm left wondering how she went from being so tiny to being a toddler in what feels like a matter of minutes.
Oh my, sweet Laila Rose, please slow down.
Have a great week, everyone. <3

His momma and I have been chatting about this session since November, and let me say, she seriously gives the best compliments. After reading an email from her, I feel on top of the world. I can't wait to get the entire family in front of my lens this Summer, but I definitely enjoyed some one-on-one time with the littlest. His dimples are irresistible, and it's a crime that a boy has such long lashes. Unfair.
He is a total flirt.
SO jealous of those lashes!
There's something I love about baby toes in grass...

When a session begins with two giggly girls chattering about in their car seats, you know you're in for an adventure.
When a session consists of two very energetic toddlers, you know you better be coordinated enough to run while holding a camera, and keep the shot in focus all the while.
When a session closes with a shot like this, taken from the car as you're about to leave, you know that the relationships you hold with your clients go way beyond them simply being clients.
I can't believe I've been photographing these girls since they were teeny-tiny. Where do the years go?

I know that I've done a great deal of bragging about my clients (I seriously can't help it though because I really do feel like I have been blessed with some of the best clients there ever were).
This lovely family is no exception. I met them about a year ago, and I've been photographing them since. I've seen their beautiful family-of-three grow to an even more beautiful party-of-four. They are complete naturals in front of the camera (there were moments when I felt like a fly on the wall... in a good way). They are easy-going and laid-back (seriously, a Bob Marley session soundtrack would have been fitting). And the relationships they hold with each other are so clearly deep (and the photos so clearly show it).
Yes, it's clients like these that make my job a piece of cake (even with a somewhat unwilling 3-year-old).
Oh, sweet Karris...
Remember him? Well, he's a 9-month-old mr. tough guy now!
I knew I wanted a storyboard with these images, but I love this one so much, so I had to put it on here BIG as well:

I knew he would grow to be a giggly guy when I took this photo of him a year ago:
But I had no idea that his sweet laugh would be nearly as adorable as it is. When you can get a kid to laugh like this, you know you're doing your job right:
The many faces of Kale:
Happy first birthday, Kale! I still can't believe it's been a year already!
Smiles and lots of love, Taylor

I haven't seen this little miss since she looked like this:
So, I'm sure you can imagine how I felt when she graced my studio looking like this:
Okay, so maybe that particular look made me feel a little intimidated. But let's be honest, have you ever felt intimidated by something to overwhelmingly adorable? I think not.
Chloe's momma is equally as adorable. The apple doesn't fall far, I guess!
Smiles and lots of love, Taylor

When Kam and her momma entered my studio, it was oddly quiet. You see, this was the first time I photographed just Kamryn without her adorable big siblings. As much as I love hanging out with her big bro and sis, it was nice to have some quiet time with just the littlest. Quiet, aside from Kam's sweet squeals and giggles, of course. I am truly enjoying discovering who this sweet little girl is (quickly) becoming.
I am super behind on posting so expect to hear a lot from me this week! :)
Smiles and lots of love, Taylor

They have one of those homes that you walk into and just instantly feel welcome, like you've known them for years. You can imagine that I was overjoyed to find that they continued that vibe in front of the camera. They are naturals. I feel so lucky to have been given the opportunity to capture this beautiful family. Is it just me or do Claire's eyes just seem to a say a little something that is beyond her two years?
Smiles and lots of love, Taylor

It's sessions like these that make me wish there was such a thing as a repeat button. The way Mya sweetly said "I'm in Taylor's house" when entering my studio- repeat. That beyond adorable little scrunchy-face laugh- repeat. The fact that she's a carbon copy of her daddy, but completely has the personality of her momma- repeat. The way she pointed her little  face at the beautiful blue sky and softly asked, "airflane?"- repeat. Overcoming a fear of slides at the playground- repeat. And laughing even while landing flat on her bottom after going air born off the slide- repeat. Pointing her little baby finger at her own shadow on the pavement and being observant of every rock and stone that lay there as well- repeat. All of the silliness, sweetness, and joy that a little two-year-old body can hold. Repeat.
Oh yes, we had fun. I love that Mya's mom suggested the playground almost as much as I love her pretty face peeking in the window in the bottom shot. :)
Has it really been a year and a half since I first photographed this gorgeous girl? Time, please slow down. Please?
Smiles and lots of love, Taylor

Her first appearance on film was when she was just days old:
She returned to the big screen about 6 months later with a whole new look:
Now, she's back and she's got all kinds of tricks up her sleeve (and she's cuter than ever, let me tell you).
Lights, cameras, ACTION!
America's Sweetheart:
Woman of Mystery:
She even does her own stunts.
We did a quick wardrobe change: a gorgeous designer lavender tutu- perfect for just about any occasion. I thought for sure she would love it, but...
...she prefers a simpler wardrobe involving vanilla cake and frosting. Well, now I know.
I've called Emyrson my "star" ever since the photo I took of her as a newborn won at the Governor's Show last Spring and trust me, she is a little star with a shining personality. She is so much fun to photograph and she is one of the few babies that actually enjoyed her cake. Okay, maybe "enjoyed" is an understatement. She LOVED it!
Thanks for an awesome session sweet girl, and happy first birthday! <3
Have a great week, everyone!
Smiles and lots of love, Taylor
