Kyle told me to write. He knows me well enough to know that my best coping strategy is writing everything down. So here it goes.
I never expected my senior year to go this way. I never thought I'd be so in over my head that getting an 85% on my first pre-calc quiz would push me to the breaking point. I had no idea that flagsquad would become my most dreaded period. Out of all people, I never thought I would be the person rushing to get all of my last night's homework done in 1st period study hall. Nor did I think I would be struggling to stay awake while doing so. I never thought that scheduling college visits would become a burden because of the sessions I have to cancel and reschedule. I'm always so on top of things. How did this happen? I'm always so eager. How did bedtime become my favorite part of the day?
Sometimes, I wish I could go back to the days when mom saying, "it's bedtime" was my biggest dilemma.
So, for right now, I'm living for the day that I will look back at this post and laugh at my melodramatic self.
Things will get better. I just know it.
Smiles and lots of love, Taylor
I want to wish these two sweet clients of mine many happy years to come.
Smiles and lots of love, Taylor
I've been stressed. To be frank, my job is just adding pounds to that stress. That's why I am so thankful that my most recent sessions have been with wonderful people. People that made that stress disappear for a moment, and whose photos will always make me smile.
#1- Sammi
Sammi is my best friend. She is beautiful from the inside out. She has been there for me through thick and thin, and I love her so much!
#3- The Borich Fam
I babysat for this family about a year ago, and that is why I couldn't wait to see how much they have grown! They are such sweet kids with such sweet parents which equaled a super sweet session.
#3- The Silardi Fam
Do you remember Emyrson Rose? My little state winner? Well, would you believe me if I told you that this is her? Because it is. Ohhhh my, when Sara pulled Emyrson out of the car seat to come into the studio, I couldn't believe what I was seeing.
Time flies. That's why I couldn't wait to do this shot with Emyrson's onesies.
#4- Jack and Family
Tracy (Jack's momma) and I had to reschedule their session about 3 times due to the weather! When the day was finally perfect, I just couldn't wait to meet with this family. I had no idea that Jack would be such a ham and that their mini session would only last about 15 minutes (going down in my record book!). Jack had us all laughing with his model behavior. Why can't all 4-year olds be like him? ;)
With everything going on in my life right now, it's hard for me to keep up on the sneak peeks! I will continue to do my best, but please be patient!
Smiles and lots of love, Taylor
Things that made my last-first-day of high school a little sweeter:
#1- fresh peach pie
#2- Mrs. Humphrey
#3- the discovery of Lightroom
#4- Epiphanie bags
#5- my new favorite dress
Truth is, I am excited for this school year. I definitely have a lot on my plate. This year, I have been asked to be in charge of the Senior Slideshow. Of course, I can't pass up an opportunity like that, so I will be attending many sporting events and school related functions taking photographs and filming (eeeek!). I have also been asked to take the student of the quarter photographs, and again, I couldn't pass that up either. I also expect to be a part of the yearbook staff which I am very excited about. On top of all of that, I have piano lessons and flagsquad to keep up with.
Whew.
I think I'll grab another piece of peach pie.
These three shots are of a sweet little miss named Payton. I have been looking forward to her arrival ever since I photographed her big sissy, Taylor. Payton is so angelic, and as you can see, her lips are just to die for.

There's no time to stress about the many photos that I'm behind on. No time to worry about college choices. There's not enough time to agonize over the issues with my school schedule. Time shouldn't be wasted feeling the heartache over "what-if's" involving the future. I don't have time to freak out about my ACT coming up... because it is my last chance. There's no time time to be concerned about my overbooked calendar.
Everything will eventually fall into place, just as it should. In the meantime, life is way too short to feel the stress, the worry, and the heartache.
Here's a sweet little miss, named Nya, that I had the pleasure of photographing last week. Have you ever seen a two year old that can model like this?! This girl has a bright future ahead of her- I am sure of it!
I couldn't leave sweet Jayci out, whose hair is getting so thick and curly!
And here is one of the sistas together. I <3 them!
Smiles and lots of love, Taylor
So, I got this idea from another photographer in my workshop with Sheye. I thought I would give it a try... me being wordless? I know, but I think it's important that I occasionally let the photos do the talking. :)
Meet sweet baby Rylan at only 13 days old:
Smiles and lots of love, Taylor
The show began with our lovely little announcer, Carly:
Act #1- Morgan showing off her impressive skills with a hula hoop:
Act #2- Alli and Mara singing their version of "Part of Your World":
Act #3: Jack singing the alphabet:
Act #4- Jylan doing his best impression of Micheal Jackson:
Act #5- Jamie and Darren stunting (almost gave me a heart attack):
Act #6- Brayden showing off his balancing and tossing skills with a baseball bat:
Act #7- Maggie and Mollie singing "Baby" by Justin Bieber:
Final Act- The Elchert sister's (my aunts) singing and dancing to "We Are Family":
After the show, I headed straight for the pool! Believe it or not, I didn't have my camera in hand for more than 10 minutes. I took a lot of time to enjoy myself and my family!
Mara has the biggest crush on my boyfriend.
"Kyle, I got a little somethin' for ya!"
Smiles and lots of love, Taylor
My newest baby cousin was welcomed into this world with much love just 2 weeks ago. Christina may have believed it was a boy, but Stella is definitely full of sugar, spice, and everything nice! I loved that Kyle and I were both welcomed into Christina and John's beautiful home. I loved that John couldn't resist filming parts of the session. I loved that Christina was constantly "ooohing" and "ahhhing" over the way I posed her little miracle. Most of all, I love Stella. She couldn't have been born to more deserving parents. I love you all!
These blocks once belonged to her Grandpa. Clearly, she loves them already!
Miss Lola was their first baby, so I couldn't leave her out! She would not take her eyes off of Stella. When Stella cried, she whimpered. It was unbelievable.
I love te one below because John owns his own barber shop! So sweet!
I love these last two of me and my love with sweet Stella. Kyle was TERRIFIED when Christina asked him to hold Stella for a picture. He isn't quite as used to handling fresh babies as I am, but he was a pro! Stella couldn't take her eyes off of him;)
Smiles and lots of love, Taylor
