No, I haven't fallen off the face of the Earth... I'm still here! As my Senior year is drawing to a close, I couldn't have predicted a more stressful time in my life. Between exams, the senior memory video, building a new blog, graduation, sessions, etc., I've been having trouble finding time for it all. I appreciate your patience and understanding at this time, whether you are waiting on your session disc, sneak peek, or email response. People tell me that I have a lot on my plate, but the truth is I have too many plates, if that makes any sense to you. I promise that after this week, I'LL BE BACK (and with a new blog)!
Again, I deeply thank you for your patience and understanding as I do my best to enjoy my last few days of high school!
Please stay tuned for more of this sweet girl! Her session sneak peek will most likely be the first on my new blog!:)
Smiles and lots of love, Taylor

A gorgeous family has been blessed with a beautiful new baby girl.
This little one is quite smiley, too. Oh boy, I wish all newborns could smile and sleep as easily as this sweet girl! ;)
Biggest smile I've gotten out of a newborn yet:
Lauren's momma likes bright colors, so I pulled some props that would pop!
Lauren posed like a pro in my studio, but I just couldn't wait to share some of the outdoor family shots...
Like I said, a gorgeous family:
(<3 Lauren's little smirk as her sissy kisses her cheek)
Yes, these sisters are besties already.

Wondering if you're doing it right.
Making the right decisions.
Choosing the right path.
Going in the right direction.
Who knows? Maybe there is no right or wrong.
I've been dwelling on these thoughts for awhile now. I am so thankful for words of wisdom from loved ones involving "stepping stones", "forever support", and a "bright future", but the truth is, I'm not convinced. I worry too much.
So, on days like these, I'm busy reminding myself that I shouldn't allow my heart to be filled with such afflicting worries.
God's got this.
But for now, please enjoy the many faces of miss Mya. This little wide-eyed wiggle-worm was such a joy to photograph.

This little fella was born on April 1st. Let me just say that during our session, the circuit breaker shorted twice, my battery spontaneously died, and it was pouring rain.
This April Fool's baby is causing all kinds of trouble already, but he's just way too cute to blame. His session was well-worth the dead battery, wet props, and shortages.  I could've easily stayed and snuggled him all day. :)
He slept so good for me, but I wanted to show off some of his awake shots as well. I couldn't get enough of his bright eyes and sweet expressions.
Have a wonderful Sunday!
Smiles and lots of love, Taylor

This photograph I took of sweet miss Ariana is going to be featured on WTOL News tonight at 6pm!
Feeling very blessed. <3

I'm just stoppin' in to let you know that sneak peeks are on the way. I have been a very busy girl these past couple of weeks...
So many babies, so little time! Thanks for being patient:)

It demanded that I be better behind the camera,
and it coaxed me to be better away from the camera.
It shaped me to be a better me.
It showed me how to be open-minded, spontaneous, and confident.
It changed the way I view the world and those around me.
It gave me a new perspective on families, their dynamics, and their relationships.
It gave me new meanings to the words "instinct" and "passion".
It was my first love.
It made me realize what it truly means to capture a moment,
and it made me see how quickly those moments are truly fleeting.
Smiles and lots of love, Taylor

Recently, I've had quite a few fellow photographers ask me for tips on photography as well as blogging (which I find absolutely crazy because I do not consider myself an expert what-so-ever in either category). Regardless, I poured over their emails, taking in each of their stories, compliments, and questions. I tried to give them the best advice that I could, but the best advice that I could compose was "simply be you".
I told them to leave a part of themselves in each and every photo that they make.
And to leave bits and pieces of themselves in every blog post.
I told them that the only photographer that they should ever compare their work to is their own. Because if they compare their work to other's, they will only lose themselves.
I told them that if they simply be themselves, only then, will they see how sweet it is.
I told them what I know from experience.
I got to snuggle this little sugarpie this afternoon. You're jealous, I know. ;)
Her full sneak peek will be posted shortly!

I love a good, new, fresh start- such as meeting new clients for the first time, the first of a new month, the first taste of a freshly opened carton of ice cream, and yes, even the dreaded Monday. Newborns are a special kind of fresh start. A whole new tiny person to discover, meet, teach, learn from, (and photograph).
I truly enjoyed meeting this family and their newest addition for the first time. But mostly, I have been captivated by the way this former family of 3 has so easily adjusted to becoming a family of 4. I suppose that the reality of it is that they didn't have much adjusting to do because this fresh start wasn't anything like opening a new carton of chocolate ice cream. This was anticipated. It was simply meant to be.
This little fella's features were simply to die for...

You must already know how loved you are. You have to feel it, right? Because it's so apparent, that I can almost feel it myself. Your brother says that you have huge eyes and sound like a pterodactyl (coming from him, that's a compliment), and your biggest brother can't stop talking about you. And your parents? Well, let's just say that they are completely and totally smitten. But seriously kid, you really got lucky in the older-sibling department. You have really cool brothers. You're going to love them. I do.
Welcome to this crazy world, Quinten Alexander.
Have a great week, everyone!
Smiles and lots of love, Taylor
