Happy 87th to my amazing Grandma Elchert. I love you so much!

Yesterday, my family had a big birthday bash in honor of my Grandma turning 87. There was a ton of swimming and a lot of fun and it was so wonderful seeing everyone (and eating delicious food, of course)!
Before the party festivities began, I did a very fun morning session. The Newmans have had aviation in the family for years, so we headed to the airport to get some shots with their plane. I have a feeling they have two little future pilots on their hands!

My boyfriend says that I'm a workaholic. And, well, it's hard not to be when working is this much fun (and when clients are this darn cute!). Today though, I am taking a break.  I left myself some time to throw a little pool party in honor of my 18th birthday.
You many recognize miss Grace in the photos below.  She was my very first client about 3 years ago. Since then, I have photographed her regularly, but now she's a big girl. It's a bittersweet thing seeing my clients grow.  It's a constant reminder about how time flies, but it's also a reminder of the special relationship that I have with each of my clients.  I will always be remembered for capturing sweet milestones in little ones' lives. After all, the next time I see little Gracie, she will be a big sister!

I love this location. Not only does it have beautiful flowers and gorgeous rural backdrops, but I can also bribe kids with seeing the piggies! Thanks Grandma Crabill!;) <3

Happy first birthday to a brand new client of mine, miss Madalynn! She was full of smiles and giggles and boy, did she love her cake! This session is by far one of my favorite cake smash sessions ever.

Those words will stick with me through the rest of my high school days, college, and beyond. I am so blessed to have such amazing people in my life.  I know I have said that so many times before, but I am constantly reminded.

I'm so in love with these last two because of his adorable smiles! Sweet little Lincoln did not make a peep the entire session. He was a photographer's dream:) Oh, and a special thanks to Deb for letting me borrow Kyle's old the Tonka truck. Living in a house full of girls, props like these are hard to come by.

I can't resist the temptation of sharing miss Laila's session sneak peek (Laura, who said the sweet quote that I mentioned at the beginning of the post, is Laila's gorgeous momma).  This little miss is my ADORABLE cousin, and it has been such a pleasure watching her grow. I am looking forward to her one year session coming up here soon!:)

In honor of my Adorable Adoptables project that I am beginning tomorrow (SUPER EXCITED), I thought I would post this cute photo of Kyle's lab named Autumn- love her! I've had my camera with me this entire weekend  (if I had time to share 2,000 shots, I would). Anyway on to my real sessions: two very special little girls turned one recently!
This first group of photos are of my ADORABLE little cousin, Jayci. I can't believe she is one already!  She gets cuter and cuter every day, I swear.  From her huge scrunchy smile, to her dark curly hair, she is one of the most photogenic babies I have ever seen! Oh, and of course I just had to do a then and now just for fun;) She was my very first newborn session, by the way.  She was photographed in the hospital when she was barely even a day old<3
Here she is then:

And here she is now:

As you can see, Jayci was very very very unsure about her cake. As soon as she put her fingers in the frosting, she would not stop screaming and crying! Jayci was the complete opposite from miss Mya, though. Sweet Mya has been an adorable client of mine for about 6 months now, and it is so fun watching her grow!
Here is her then (6 mos):

I told you Mya was the opposite;) She LOVEDDD her cake and her little "sugar shakes" were adorable<3

And now, a special thanks to Kyle's Grandma and Grandpa for graciously allowing me to shoot in their backyard, thanks to my amazing piano teacher, Susan Marion, for allowing me to shoot in her backyard, and thanks to Lish for buying me some cute new props! I love you all!:)<3
Smiles and lots of love, Taylor
